The NBMS Broncos traveled to Travis Middle School on Thursday night in their last game before the holiday break. Travis worked hard and kept the score close, but the Broncos managed to maintain their lead in spite of missing two key players on their roster. Taylee Conway came out on fire in the first quarter with 4 goals and a 3 point shot. Travis put up a tough, physical fight but our Broncos led at halftime 25-14 thanks to the three point buzzer beater by Aniya Swinton! The Broncos worked through foul trouble and frustration in the second half, and each player contributed in some way to the 42-33 victory. Taylee Conway led with 21 points; Aniya Swinton-17; C’Asia Lilly-2; Cheyenne Burgan-2. After the winter break, the Broncos will be back in action on Thursday, January 9th at home against Copperas Cove’s S.C. Lee.
