NBMS GIRLS' 7A BASKETBALL WINS OPENER AGAINST RIVER VALLEY
The North Belton Girls' Bronco Basketball teams traveled to River Valley Middle School on Thursday night to take on the Panthers in the first game of the year. It was obvious that both teams were excited and a little nervous about their first competition. However, it didn’t take long for the Broncos to turn up the heat and pull away. By the end of the first half, the Broncos led the Panthers 32-6. The effort from the 7A team continued in the second half, with Aniyah Swinton posting 19 points for the Broncos, with a beautiful 3 point shot as part of that. Taylee Conway followed closely with 12 points, and Gracelyn McWhorter had 8 while Jaelyn Bass had 6. The 7A Bronco player of the game was Aniyah Swinton for her fierce competitiveness on both offense and defense. The NBMS 7A Girls defeated River Valley with a final score of 45-14.
We are so proud of the hard work of our 7th grade basketball teams. The NBMS Broncos will take on Belton Middle School at BMS on December 4th after the Thanksgiving break. We hope everyone has a safe and joyous holiday!
