Thursday night, the Broncos of NBMS volleyball traveled to S.C. Lee Middle School in Copperas Cove. The Bulldawg fans were out in full force as the Broncos had to gain composure. The match started out in somewhat of a back and forth, but the Broncos gained momentum thanks to the spark of a serving run from Isabella Cooper, and took the first set by the scores of 25-20. The Broncos held on to their mindset in the second set and did not let a few minor errors get to them. Kinley McGough contributed a couple of well placed hits, Sophia Shaffer had a great defensive play at the net along with the help of Tatum Benner. Caydence Kanzenbach sealed the game with tough serves, pushing the Broncos to a 25-13 win! The NBMS 8th grade B team player of the game is Isabella Cooper for her spark in serving and hustle to make the sets happen for her teammates. District play will resume Thursday, September 26th on the road to Bonham Middle School.
