The Broncos were back on their home court on Thursday night against Travis Middle School. The first set of the night was a back and forth between the teams, and the Broncos let the set slip away with a score of 21-25. Set two was a regroup for the team, and they bounced back with enthusiasm. Kalea Travis was a huge spark with a scoring run of seven consecutive points, forcing a timeout for the other team. The Broncos ultimately took set 2 with the score of 25-20, with Sophia Schaffer serving the set out. The deciding set looked nothing like the first two, as the Broncos won 15-4, barely allowing any points from Travis with such tough serving. Overall, the team recorded an impressive 22 aces for the evening. The player of the game for Thursday, September 12th is Kalea Travis for her contributions offensively and defensively. Next Thursday, September 19th, the Broncos will travel to SC Lee, then have a Saturday, September 21st tournament opportunity at home as Belton ISD hosts the A & B team tournaments.
