The 2024 NBMS volleyball season kicked off on Thursday night with a home match against Belton Middle School. 8B came out with excitement and energy! The early serving efforts of Aliah Castillo helped to quickly gain a seven point advantage, forcing Belton to take a time out. The Broncos had a series of hiccups in serve receive, but quickly bounced back to push to a 25-12 first set victory. The gym erupted with cheers after Sophia Shaffer had key net play with both attacks and aggressive defense. The teamwork and communication built as the Broncos took the second set 25-13. Caydence Kanzenbach was responsible for 12 of the 25 points, recording 7 aces on the evening, which earned her the 8B player of the game for both her serving efforts and her hustle as a setter.
