North Belton Middle School girls traveled to Cove Middle School on Wednesday night to take on the Cove Bulldawgs. 7A opened the night in the small gym, determined to perform well on the road. The ladies accomplished that, pulling away in the first quarter to out score the Bulldawgs 20-4. The Broncos led the Bulldawgs by a thirty point spread by the half. The Broncos stayed determined, holding the Bulldawgs to a scoreless third quarter. The final score of the game was 53-8. Olivia Dann led the scoring (and assists) with 24 points. Kaleileana Cress contributed 14, Cadence Williams worked the boards to score 9, Aria Newman and Kayleigh Jackson both had 2, and McKinleigh Vela, 1. Special congratulations to Kalea Travis for being selected as the NBMS 7A player of the game for her hustle and energy, and her coachability for being willing to go to any position that was needed to benefit the team. North Belton will get to play at Lake Belton High School next Wednesday in the Battle of the Broncos against Lake Belton Middle School.
