NBMS GIRLS 7B FALLS SHORT TO SOUTH 16-21
The North Belton 7B girls basketball team played the second game of the night in the seventh grade gym. The team showed nervous energy in the first half, and was not able to keep up with the fast pace of South. However, the team was only down by 9 points at the half. The Broncos came out with renewed energy and focus in the second half, and almost tied the game! Caydence Kanzenbach and Haley King led the scoring with 4 points each, followed closely by Trinity Strange and Kaylee Cobb with 3 each. Paysli Monroe contributed 2 points for the Broncos. The final score was 16-21, but in this case the final score did not show the effort the girls showed to bounce back and work as a team! Special congratulations to McKenna Mees for being selected player of the game for her positive attitude all evening and giving all-out effort when she was on the court. The NBMS girls will travel to Copperas Cove on Wednesday, January 31st to take on Copperas Cove Middle School.
