The 8th Grade A Lady Broncos faced Cove Lee on Thursday night and battled through a competitive opening set. After a slow start, the Lady Broncos settled into the match and began finding success. Their effort helped them close the gap, but Cove Lee ultimately took the first set 25-19. The Lady Broncos responded with determination in second set, stepping up their intensity and playing with confidence. Ka'Ryiah Johnson made several outstanding plays at the net and delivered strong serves to help give the Lady Broncos momentum. Their improved play paid off as they won the second set, 25-17, forcing a deciding third set. Amiyah Gonzales provided a strong defensive effort through ought the match, hustling all over the court and helping keep plays alive. Her energy and determination were an important part to the Lady Broncos' performance. In the third set, both teams competed hard with the match on the line. The Lady Broncos continued to battle but ultimately came up short, 15-11, giving Cove Lee the match victory.
