The NBMS 8th grade A team delivered their strangest performance of the season at this past weekend's volleyball tournament . The team demonstrated tremendous growth individually and as a unit. Although the Lady Broncos fell short against Academy on Friday, they continued to compete with intensity, enthusiasm and determination. They went on to defeat Midway in the second set, 25-17 and completely dominated South Belton in the second set, winning 25-9 in 1st set and 25-5 to secure the Consolation Championship. The Lady Broncos were dominant from the serving line led by Corrie Fitzgerald, Chelsie Valverde, Leighton Hennig, Emily Herrera and Amiyah Gonzales. Standout out defensive players were Avi Blackford, ad Aria Keith. The 8A broncos will travel to S.C. Lee Thursday as they continue their district schedule.
